What is Memora?
Memora is a personal photo organization application for Windows. It automatically detects and groups faces appearing in your own photo collection, so you can organize and find photos by the people in them.
What operating systems does Memora support?
Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). macOS and Linux are not currently supported.
Does Memora require an internet connection?
Not for scanning, organizing, or browsing your photos - that all runs offline on your PC. The only network activity is a brief check when you activate or renew a Memora Personal license.
Where are my photos processed?
Entirely on your own Windows PC. Memora's face-detection and recognition run locally, so no photo, thumbnail, or face data is uploaded anywhere to be processed.
Are my photos uploaded to the cloud?
No. Memora never uploads your photos, thumbnails, or face data to any cloud service or third-party face-recognition provider.
How does face grouping work?
Memora detects faces in your photos and groups similar-looking faces together automatically. You then give each group a name, and Memora applies it across every matching photo.
Can I rename people?
Yes. You can rename or correct a person's name at any time from the People section.
Can I exclude photos?
Yes. You can exclude specific photos from Memora's review and organization workflows without deleting the original file.
Can I organize photos by different people?
Yes. Once people are named, you can organize their photos by Copy, Move, Hard-Link, or Virtual mode (which browses by person without touching your original files at all).
Is there a free version?
Yes. Memora Free includes every feature, with a library of up to 200 photos - no time limit, no credit card, and no sign-up required.
What happens after the trial?
Memora's optional 14-day trial currently shares the same 200-photo cap and full feature set as Free. After the trial ends, Memora continues working as the Free version unless you purchase Memora Personal.
Is the license perpetual or subscription-based?
Memora Personal is currently offered as a one-time purchase - pay once, keep it, with no recurring subscription.
How do I activate Memora?
Open Settings inside Memora and enter your license key in the Activate section. Activation requires a brief internet connection; Memora then works offline using a securely cached license.
